Is anyone out there??

Hi all,
Just wanted to solicit ideas for the world record breaking event. Right now here's what we have:

-most people doing traditional african call (you remember it from the training weekend!)
-most people reading (then books will be donated)
-word art (spelling out BFA)
-biggest HIV/AIDS ribbon (who can sew??)
-biggest group hug (try to go around the block of the leg??)

ANYTHING ELSE?? Please send your ideas no matter how random or weird they seem!!

Education Sector Meeting Changed AGAIN

Breaking a WORLD RECORD for Breakthough for Africa

So I'm really excited about this idea that I just had to write up a post (even though it's late):

Alaina and I were talking tonight and we discussed putting together an event this summer that will break a world record for Breakthrough for Africa!! How fitting!

Sounds impossible? Not really, if you visit the website: www.guinnessworldrecords.com there are some very "breakable" records (ie longest conga line approx 1000 people). The application to Guinness is free but takes 4-6 weeks to get processed. SO I need your help with ideas!! Then we'll partner with the media with a specific timeline and get them to get the word out with ongoing updates of how many people we have with the hope of getting enough people out to the event in time to break the record "and put victoria on the map"...not to mention our group. I'm hoping for a record that will require a few hundred people, impressive but not impossible.

ANY IDEAS?????

A life outside VIDEA!

Hello VIDEA crew,
I have been thinking, there is a strong need to have a social night for all of us to get to know each other outside of the VIDEA office, and to really welcome and embrace new members. What about for this coming weekend? Friday or Saturday night, at my house, drinks, good music and excellent company. We could also go out, but I know the money situation does not always allow that.

Let me know if you are interested! It is well overdue!
